分子研研究会で講演しました｡

UVSOR at the Institute of Molecular Science

2025年4月7-8日に分子科学研究所で開催された分子研研究会「トライボロジーの分子科学」において，「潤滑性をもつポリマー薄膜のナノ力学とナノ構造」というタイトルで話題提供させていただきました．本研究会は，表面科学・コロイド界面科学・高分子科学を中心としたサイエンスと，トライボロジーという実学の橋渡しになる大変有意義な企画でした（講演者の一覧はこちら）．研究会の第一日目には分子科学研究所の見学会が開催され，各種のAFM装置や極端紫外光研究施設（UVSOR）を見学させていただきました．分子研の設備は外部の利用も可能であり，整備された装置と手厚い技術サポートが受けられるとのことです．このような充実した設備は，東海地方の産学を支える重要な拠点といえます．

I gave a talk titled "Nanomechanics and Nanostructures of Lubricious Polymer Thin Films" at the workshop "Molecular Science of Tribology" held at the Institute of Molecular Science (IMS) on April 7-8. This was a very meaningful meeting that bridged the gap between the science of surface science, colloid and interface science, and polymer science, and the practical science of tribology (see here for a list of speakers). On the first day of the meeting, we had a tour of the IMS, where we could see various AFM systems and the Extreme Ultraviolet Light Research Facility (UVSOR). The facilities at the IMS are open to external users, with well-maintained equipment and extensive technical support. These well-equipped facilities are an important base for supporting industry and academia in the Tokai region.
